During the winter of 2016 and into spring 2017, NYC-based singer/songwriter Bryan Louie wrote and performed a full album's worth of Heavy Vessel's songs with engineer and producer Joey Dellaquila of Exeter Studios. The solo project resulted in the 9 song LP Love Decay. After sending songs to friends and receiving positive feedback, Tucker Rule of Thursday, Eric Odness of Primitive Weapons, and Brian Deneeve of From Autumn To Ashes joined the project and turned it into a proper band. Rehearsals began immediately and the music quickly took on a new life.
